Create and Share

Book Gardens thrive when local stewards have low-cost, repeatable opportunities to create content that allows families to see themselves in the books they read. Unite for Literacy’s innovative Create publishing platform and Writers Workshops give our Project Partners the tools to author, illustrate, translate and narrate new books for their communities.

Local Books

Trusted teachers, health providers, and other role models can play an important part in creating the books that are most relevant to local families. Local images and narration in the spoken languages of the community make the books especially valuable.

Literacy Prompts for Families

Unite’s team supports Project Partners to create custom tip cards, flyers, posters, and other prompts that support family literacy. Digital messaging by text or email is also available for families registered to receive our books.
