Nebraska SFEC

Throughout Nebraska, home-school relationships are being strengthened, parents are more engaged in their child’s learning, and home literacy environments are being transformed from book deserts to book gardens.

Nebraska’s SFEC supports 13 model demonstration sites that provide evidence-based literacy resources and parent education for underserved families. To achieve results, SFEC relies on the collective services of the Nebraska Children and Families Foundation (NCFF), the Nebraska Department of Education, Unite for Literacy, and targeted school districts across the state.
